The project responds to growing environmental challenges across the V4 countries and Ukraine, including pollution, ecosystem degradation, and the impacts of intensive agriculture and industrial activity. It focuses on the development of modern environmental biotechnologies such as bioremediation, microbiological methods, and sustainable solutions in waste and water management.

The main goal is to connect young scientists, PhD students, and experienced researchers from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine through practice-oriented laboratory training, knowledge exchange, and international cooperation. The project supports the development of a new generation of specialists capable of transferring acquired expertise into practice and contributing to the long-term environmental recovery and sustainable development of the region.

The project aims to strengthen international cooperation in environmental biotechnology and equip a new generation of scientists with practical skills needed to address current environmental challenges in the V4 countries and Ukraine. Through intensive laboratory training, interdisciplinary workshops, and knowledge exchange, participants will gain hands-on experience in areas such as bioremediation, renewable energy, nanotechnology, chromatography, and sustainable water treatment.

The project also seeks to build long-term research networks among universities and scientific institutions, support future joint research and mobility, and ensure the transfer of knowledge through an open-access laboratory manual and dissemination activities. By combining education, applied research, and cross-border collaboration, the project contributes to sustainable development, environmental protection, and capacity building across the region.
