The aim of this conference is to share new theoretical and practical knowledge from the field of agriculture, rural and countryside area and the field of regional development. High quality papers will be published in the special issue “New Challenges in Agriculture” of the European Countryside journal (abstracted in Scopus and Web of Science).

This conference is organized as part of the international Visegrad project: “Post-covid recovery of small family businesses in V4 countries”, which aims to identify possibilities of post-COVID recovery and adaptation processes of small family businesses in the multifunctional agriculture in V4 countries. However, during the solution of the project, other current topics arose, which bring new opportunities and threats in the field of agriculture and which have to be urgently addressed to preserve the sustainable development of agriculture.
The aim of this conference is to present and lead a discussion on the results of the Visegrad project, which evaluates the consequences of solving the COVID crisis in the field of agriculture, as well as other topics related to current challenges in agriculture and other related topics related to the rural and regional development and countryside.
