An alternative alma mater for the participants was the University of Ghana.
During both expeditions, academics and students met with important representatives of Ghanaian institutions, such as the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Mr. Ján Füry, and the Dean of the Business School.
Part of the programme was collaborative, other times the students travelled to different parts of Ghana to collect data for their papers.

One of the researches that the students dealt with was the cross-cultural difference in visual perception. In addition to collecting behavioral data such as reaction times, they also collected data mapping participants’ eye movements while perceiving complex visual scenes both on-screen and in virtual reality. The laboratory for this research was established directly at the University of Ghana and the research was led by Eng. Mgr. Jiří Čeněk, Ph.D.

The programme also included a visit to the school in Kwabneg, where our colleague Ing. Samuel Antwi Darkwah, Ph.D. The participants of the expedition had a peek into the teaching, sang and danced with the children, played football, presented gifts and collected English books, which was organized at our faculty.

The second group of students met the Czech Ambassador directly at the Czech Embassy, where they discussed the topics of their research with him.

Naskytlo se ale i dost příležitostí poznat krásné přírodní lokality a kulturní památky.

And as a symbol of further cooperation, they jointly planted a tree at the Aburi Botanical Garden in Accra.

The seedling will grow rapidly, as will the faculty’s relationship with Ghana.
