Finally a foreign research expedition is here again. This time to Ghana!

Expedition GHANA 2021

The first days of the research expedition Ghana 2021 have been truly busy.

Our first steps led us to the University of Ghana, Business School where we met professors and the dean. For FRDIS students, this institution has become their alternative alma mater for the month they are spending here.

On the second day, we set to the west and visited the National park Kokum with its Canopy Walk. To balance the adrenalin experience, we also stopped in Cape Coast Castle to learn about the history of the place where millions of slaves were gathered to be shipped across the ocean.

The third day meant a library day for the students and the dean Jiří Schneider, PhD., Samuel Darkwah, PhD. a Lenka Zouhar Ludvíková, PhD. were accepted by his Excellency Ján Füry, the ambassador of the Czech Republic in Ghana. He also invited the students to visit him at his residents during their stay.

Dr.Darkwah is staying with the students for a month and the purpose is to collect the data for their master theses; the dean and the vice-dean for international affairs will be back in Brno in a week. But before that, the calendar is filling up with meetings and visits which reflects how resourceful this expedition is.
