Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies is once again continuing its long-standing Advent tradition and presenting a series of pre-Christmas charity collections. Every week of Advent, the Faculty will announce one charitable initiative that students and staff can support. All collections will run until Christmas.
First Advent Collection: Supporting Diakonie Workshops
The first collection focuses on supporting Diakonie, specifically the sheltered workshops in Hustopeče, Klobouky u Brna and Brumovice. These centres provide facilities for people with disabilities and enable them to work, create and be actively involved in everyday life. They place great emphasis on professional standards and the quality of care provided. Above all, however, they value good interpersonal relationships, mutual love and the Christian dedication of their staff.
From 30 November until Christmas, their products will be available for purchase in the S-Club and can be bought in cash. The sales will support the centres as well as their employees. The offer traditionally includes ceramic products, small decorations, candles, textile items and other handmade products.

Advent as a Space for Solidarity
In recent years, Advent collections have become a firm part of life at FRRMS. They bring together students, staff and visitors and create an opportunity to help others during the pre-Christmas period.
In the coming weeks, always on Sunday at 12:00, the Faculty will introduce one of the charitable collections, focusing on different organisations and ways to get involved.
