Department of Area Studies

The Department of Area Studies focuses on the political pillar of the development of the various world regions.
Our research interests include Africa, the Balkans, the Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, Latin America and the European Union.
The knowledge we have acquired is passed on to students in courses specialising in these regions, as well as in theoretical courses that improve the students’ knowledge of political science and development. The contemporary world requires an understanding of it, and this is what we try to convey to our students.
