We held a course "Innovation Policy and Regional Development in Central Europe"

From 7-11 November 2022, we organised an intensive course at the Faculty within the framework of the Blended Intensive Programme initiative of the Erasmus+ programme.

The course was attended by 19 students from three Central European universities:

  • Jagiellonian University in Krakow
  • University of Ljubljana.
  • University of Pécs.

The theme of the course was “Innovation Policy and Regional Development in Central Europe”.

During the week, students learned about the functioning of the innovation ecosystem in Brno, South Moravia and the Central European region.

Among the lecturers were representatives of the South Moravian Innovation Centre (Dr. David Uhlíř), the head of the Department of Strategic Development and Cooperation of the City of Brno (Dr. František Kubeš), students visited the development laboratories of Honeywell. Among the lecturers were both representatives of the home FRRMS (Dr. Pavel Ptáček) and participating universities (Prof. Monika Murzyn-Kupisz and Prof. Krzysztof Gwosdz from Jagiellonian University and Prof. Zoltán Gál from the University of Pécs).

The course also included a rich social programme.
