On 21-22 November 2022, the kick-off meeting of the joint project of FRRMS MENDELU in Brno and UAK in Krakow called “BIOMASTER” took place in Krakow.

There was a meeting of the deans and vice-deans of the represented institutions, namely the dean of FRRMS MENDELU Ing. Jiří Schneider, Ph.D. and the Dean of FAE UAK Prof. dr hab. inz. Bogdan Kulig, Vice-Dean of FRRMS MENDELU Mgr. Ondřej Konečný, Ph.D. and Vice-Dean of FAE UAK Dr hab. inz. Tomasz Zaleski, prof. UR.

Mini-teams composed of experts from both universities were created with the aim of scientific cooperation in the field of Bioeconomy. The meeting was attended by experts from the Faculty of Agronomy, Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies and Faculty of Horticulture of Mendel University in Brno.

One of the most important outcomes of this project is the creation of a joint study programme (“double degree”), which will enable prospective students to study partly at MENDELU in Brno and at UAK in Krakow.
